When I’m not working for my clients, I regularly donate my time to supporting charitable causes that focus on uplifting children, families, foster care, education and disaster relief —as well as showing my loyalty for human rights organizations, the LGTBQ+ community, and our design & trade industry.

Starting out while I was in design school, volunteering became one of my biggest passions and when I first developed a love for community engagement. Now decades later, I still devote my time to in the support of charitable causes, non-profits, and to a variety of trade organizations.

ISFD PINNACLE AWARDS | (Furniture Design Trade Organization)

I am honored to serve as one of the judges for the ISFD’s 2024 PINNACLE AWARDS. Read about this year’s event and meet the judges for this year’s award competition.

The Pinnacle Awards were created in April 1995 by the International Society of Furniture Designers (ISFD) board of directors to promote design quality and encourage the recognition of furniture designers within the retail home furnishings industry. This year marks the award’s 24th anniversary and the fourth product designers and manufacturers can enter online. With 100’s of designs each year, ISFD is dedicated to excellence, innovation, education and originality in the practice of furniture design. ISFD, who serves as the unified voice of the furniture design community, advocates for professionals and students in industrial design and in promoting design excellence. Their international, non-profit, professional organization is dedicated to advancing, improving and supporting the profession of furniture design and its positive impact in the marketplace. Pride Under The Pines Pride Festival

Supporting PSHomeBoys’ annual Pride Under The Pines through their marketing and publicity campaigns, each year I also attend and help produce Pride Festival in Idyllwild, CA.

Celebrating uplifting and changing the lives of more than 7500 attendees over the 3 years events - we aim to provide a safe space and to support the LGBTQ+ communities, their family and friends.

High Point by Design (HPXD)

Event Coordinator Vacation Rental Design Summit (VRDS) | Sept 2022 - April 2023

Supporting HPXD’s first Vacation Rental Design Summit, I worked to create marketing, content, build and maintain the events website, manage the events publicity and helped produce the 2 day event. Which was a sold out and smash success.

Brand Ambassador | Aug 2021-July 2023

Supporting the marketing and publicity efforts for HPXD, a 501(c)6 nonprofit organization that promotes, unites and builds upon the city of High Point's unique creative ecosystem. Through a community home furnishings and design showrooms, and manufacturers, brands, makers, artists, innovators, partners and friends who share the same interests and goals, that High Point is open and a year-round and is a beacon for design tourism. FURNISHING HOPE (Family Services & Homelessness non-profit)

Brand Marketing | Jan 2019 - Sep 2021

Volunteering in support of nonprofit Furnishing Hope, includes brand marketing consulting, creation of graphics and print media, as well as brand content for their new website. In addition to helping with weekly home installs for individuals and families transitioning from homelessness. I also helped to solicit sponsors and in kind donations from home furnishing and lighting manufacturers.

Furnishing Hope - a 100% Not for Profit organization helps to support wounded veterans and children and families. Sourcing, designing and installing new home furnishings for those in need. Funded by community support and generous manufacturers who offer in kind donations. Their efforts transform empty spaces into peaceful and comfortable homes. Habitat for Humanity (Disaster & Humanitarian Relief Organization)

Event Campaign Producer for Rebuild Wine Country | Jan 2018 - Mar 2018

Creating and spearheading multiple events campaigns to raise awareness and donations in support of “Rebuild Wine Country” and Habitat for Humanity of Sonoma County. Through a high-profile fundraising events our team from the ASID CA North Chapter raised money and awareness to support families that lost everything in the wildfires. The first of three fundraising events - noting the largest event was held March 27, 2018 at The Great Northern SF Venue where ASID created a fun-filled night with live music, cirque performances, food and hosted bar. While running the marketing department for lifestyle brand ZUO Modern, I worked with Doctors TV Show to support and offer donations for The Donovan Family offering their family of 4 bedroom and living room furniture for their new home.
